I was born in Hong Kong and lived there until I was 19 years old. In 2003, I came to the UK to read Law (now you know my age!). I never in a million years thought that I would be keeping a flock of
four seven hens, two Golden Retrievers, one Norwegian Forest Cat and one well-behaved husband. I hope our household will be expanding with two Alpacas in a year or so. We have five alpacas since I wrote this!
Keeping chickens and alpacas was the expansion of my vegetable gardening experiment. I am hoping one day I will be completely self-sufficient with the fruits and vegetables grown on Phoebe’s Patch.
Apart from spending time on Phoebe’s Patch, I enjoy locking myself away at home creating garments for myself and others and making small household items to make my home more cozy. In this blog, you will find many of my ‘trials and errors’ and I hope they will be useful to you when you are working on your own projects.
The rest of my time is normally spent slaving in the kitchen. I love baking and making food from scratch as I believe this is the best way to healthy living. I have recently invested in a KitchenAid stand mixer with a couple of attachments – I have been told that is all I will ever need in the kitchen! I hope I will inspire you through some of my recipes.
