House full of hearts

Chocolate 3

Sugar Free Chocolate Hearts with Hazelnuts and Almonds

Having a sugar free diet does not necessarily mean you cannot have some of the old treats you love.  Valentine’s day is almost here, chocolate and champagne are a must.  If, like me, you are trying to be good, you can make your own delicious sugar free chocolate hearts for someone you love (and yourself!).

Chocolate 2

Ingredients (make approx. 12 or 15 chocolate):-

♥ 2 tablespoons almond butter, I used smooth rather than crunchy
♥ 3 tablespoons coconut oil
♥ 2 tablespoons unsweetened cacao powder
♥ ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
♥ pinch of salt
♥ 1 tablespoon raw honey
♥ 12 almonds or hazelnuts (I made my batch using half of each). You won’t need these if you prefer plain chocolate

Chocolate 1
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl which has been placed in a saucepan of boiling water.
  2. Mix the ingredients until everything is melted and combined.
  3. If using nuts, place an almond or a hazelnut into each mould.
  4. Pour the chocolate into the moulds.
  5. Freeze for about 30 min.

N.B – You will need to store this chocolate in the fridge until you are about to serve.
