Sugar Free Chocolate Hearts with Hazelnuts and Almonds
Having a sugar free diet does not necessarily mean you cannot have some of the old treats you love. Valentine’s day is almost here, chocolate and champagne are a must. If, like me, you are trying to be good, you can make your own delicious sugar free chocolate hearts for someone you love (and yourself!).
Ingredients (make approx. 12 or 15 chocolate):-
♥ 2 tablespoons almond butter, I used smooth rather than crunchy
♥ 3 tablespoons coconut oil
♥ 2 tablespoons unsweetened cacao powder
♥ ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
♥ pinch of salt
♥ 1 tablespoon raw honey
♥ 12 almonds or hazelnuts (I made my batch using half of each). You won’t need these if you prefer plain chocolate
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl which has been placed in a saucepan of boiling water.
- Mix the ingredients until everything is melted and combined.
- If using nuts, place an almond or a hazelnut into each mould.
- Pour the chocolate into the moulds.
- Freeze for about 30 min.
N.B – You will need to store this chocolate in the fridge until you are about to serve.
